What the prices are
Every figure on this site is derived: an international spot price for the metal, converted at a market exchange rate and divided down to the karat and weight shown. That is a reference value, not a quote. A jeweller in your city adds making charges, VAT and a retail margin, so what you pay at the counter is normally higher — often meaningfully so. Our methodology page sets out each step of the calculation.
No financial advice
Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. We are not licensed advisers, we do not know your circumstances, and no chart or article should be read as a signal. Gold falls as well as rises. Decisions about your money are yours, and worth taking to a licensed professional in your own country first.
Accuracy and availability
We take the numbers seriously and correct errors quickly, but the data comes from third-party feeds that can lag, gap or fail, and the site itself may be offline for maintenance. Prices are provided as they are, with no warranty that they are current, complete or fit for any particular purpose. Verify with a dealer before acting on a figure.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of this site — including a trade made on a stale price, a missed opportunity, or a downstream error in a figure republished elsewhere.
